Zante Restaurant Data Set

Zante Restaurant

Zante Restaurant was opened up shop in 1980 by Dennis alongside with his wife Elannor. They have been in business together since 1971 and have opened a total of 3 restaurants (Zante being the third). Greeks often are very successful when opening a restaurant business. They know food and love to eat good food and this is what motivated Dennis and Ellanor to open up restaurants throughout Durham. Dennis has been saving up money since his early 20's and thats when he knew wanted to get into the restaurant business. Dennis was born in 1952 and he immigrated from Zakinthos, Greece. The shorts for Zakinthos is Zante and that is where he had gotten the idea to name this specific restaurant. Based of his hometown.

Dennis communicates with his team of workers via email, phone and in person and the same goes for his customers. To have a reservation at Zante's Restaurant, customers have to email or call Dennis to do so. If Dennis is not available, his workers will be happy to take over. Dennis is the leader of his restaurant but that being said, he wouldn't be anywhere without his workers and they all communicate together to build up morale Dennis does not give out discounts but if the customer has a strong relationship or builds a strong relationship with him and his restaurant, he will give coupons for your next visit and does cater for charitable events.

Dennis and his coworkers both speak in English and in Greek so there should be no trouble in communicating with them unless you don't know either language. Most, if not all workers are Greek in order to make the Greek customers feel as if they are home and being greeted in their traditional way. To improve on their business, they listen to the little things that people suggest such as expanding this restaurant and others. Dennis expects to get a huge rush for Christmas and they certainly do good during that time and on regular basis. For any special occasions such as Christmas parties, you must give at least 3 weeks for preparation.

Dennis promotes his restaurant through his website http://www.zanterestaurant.com/ and not through ads over newspapers and radio/tv. He believes that you waste a lot of money on that when someone just throws out the ad and goes on with their life. Through a website, it gives a lot more information about food, location, etc. He also believes that the name of his restaurant "Zante" can help the Greek audience recognize the town in Greece and draw them to his restaurant. Dennis does not take part in any social networking other than his own website.

Dinner Anyone?
It seems that Dennis has his restaurant all under control. There are things which he can do to increase the amount of people that enter his restaurant by using Facebook or any other means of social network. That being said he does have a steady flow of customers everyday which is keeping him in business and keeping him happy.
